I quit my corporate Job in Dublin, went backpacking & then started my own Virtual Assistant Business in 2020 with my partner Adam, which we have used to fund our full-time travels around the world and be fully location independent.

But what was our motivation to start?

We wanted to do this because we had enough of the cycle that we were stuck in.

This included grinding in our jobs for months, saving up, quitting, going on holiday and repeating the cycle again and again. So we decided to try working online and changing our circumstances.

After trying many different online jobs, we landed on become Virtual Assistant's because it felt like the most sustainable long-term way to make money online and not another 'quick fix'.

So we decided to go all-in and put everything into making our business work by focusing on using our transferable skills from our previous jobs to offer VA services.

Despite absolutely winging it and making more mistakes than I care to admin in the beginning (Something that I do NOT recommend), we worked through it and within 7 weeks of setting up Team Virtual, we were fully booked.
